You post a photo online and anyone can download it, repost it, or even sell it as their own. A watermark — your name or brand, lightly stamped on the image — is the simplest protection there is. PixKitTools' Watermark Maker adds one in seconds, free in your browser.

Add a watermark in 4 steps

  1. Open the Watermark Maker.
  2. Upload your photo.
  3. Type your watermark text — your name, your brand, or © Your Name — then set the size, colour, opacity and position.
  4. Download the watermarked photo. No signup, no watermark on top of yours, and your photo is never uploaded.

Tiled or single watermark?

  • Single — one watermark in a corner or across the middle. Clean and subtle, best for portfolios and social posts.
  • Tiled — the text repeats across the whole photo. It cannot be cropped out, so it is the right choice for photos you sell or share publicly — proofs, stock photos and client previews.

Tips for a watermark that works

  • Keep the opacity low, around 20–30%. It should be visible, not distracting.
  • A corner watermark is easy to crop out. If protection matters, put it across the middle or use the tiled mode.
  • White text with a slight shadow reads well on almost any photo. Dark text disappears on dark photos.
  • Don't cover faces. A watermark across a face ruins the photo and annoys the viewer.

Is it really free?
